Happy Tongue Pelham | Bombers Bits

The Bombers Happy Tongue Bit is part of Bomber's 'Blue Mouthpiece' range of bits which have been designed to suit horses who are head shakers and/or have a sensitive tongue.

Made from a blue sweet iron, it oxidizes easily which encourages salivation and encourages your horse to accept the bit as it is warm and sweet.

The Happy Tongue is a solid mouth piece which is curved and ported to give tongue relief. It is often used for horses that are: shaking their head, sticking their tongue out, sucking its tongue back and as a result making an intermittent coughing noise, trying to put its tongue over the bit, going behind the bit to avoid the contact, snatching the reins forward and down.
