Inspired by the vibrant polo community and the allure of a wandering equestrian lifestyle, Colorada Tack started with a realization: you don't have to choose between stability and following your heart.
Our mission at Colorada Tack is clear—to create a platform that gives back to the horse community and demonstrates the power of working together. We do this by curating a selection of unique, quality products sourced predominantly from women-owned small businesses and makers that are connected to the horse community & local economy. We are committed to giving back by fostering a sense of unity within the equestrian community and striving to collaborate with as many equestrian businesses as possible. We've built strong partnerships to help each other develop and flourish while garnering positive feedback from our growing customer base. We aim to promote uniqueness and individuality, offering customers an experience as distinct as they are. Our goal is to celebrate our differences while appreciating how they complement each other.
Colorada Tack is owned and operated by Claire Hobika. My passion for horses was programmed in my DNA and fostered by parents who nurtured my interests in riding and animal care. I discovered polo at Colorado State University where new friendships led to summer grooming jobs and before I knew it, I was following the sun on the polo circuit, from Santa Barbara to Wellington, taking care of polo ponies and learning heaps from the organizations that I was lucky to be a part of. With a background in sporthorse management and an ever growing trove of industry experience, I am dedicated to continuous learning and growth, both personally and professionally.
As a young business, Colorada is currently operated solely by its founder, Claire, and executive assistant Grace Hobika. However, our journey wouldn't be possible without the invaluable support of numerous individuals and organizations, and we are looking forward to adding to the team in the near future! With our sights set on longevity, the plan is to grow and evolve, balancing the newest technology and practices with classic tried and true methods. Our company culture is characterized by a down-to-earth, educated professionalism. We strive to communicate authentically and transparently and be attentive to our customers’ needs.
